Guide Travis Price is the driving force behind Marsh Life Charters, offering expert-guided fishing trips throughout Rockport, Texas. Born in Port Lavaca and raised in the Port O’Connor area, Travis developed a deep-rooted connection to the water at a young age. Over the years, that connection evolved into a lifelong dedication to saltwater fishing, marked by a constant desire to learn and grow in the craft. His background has shaped him into a patient, knowledgeable guide who takes pride in helping others discover the enjoyment of fishing in the rich coastal ecosystems of Texas.
Travis brings decades of on-the-water experience, fishing from boats, kayaks, and the surf. His decision to become a USCG-licensed captain was driven by a desire to turn his passion into a profession and help others experience what he’s spent his life perfecting. His guiding philosophy is centered around sharing—not only his expertise but also the excitement and peacefulness that fishing can provide. Travis is known for his hands-on teaching style and his ability to work with anglers of all levels, from first-timers to tournament veterans.
Specializing in light tackle fishing, Travis has developed a reputation for precision, patience, and an impressive understanding of the bay systems. He regularly competes in local and professional fishing tournaments and maintains a commitment to conservation through his use of catch, photo, and release practices. His knowledge of seasonal fish behavior and habitat patterns helps ensure productive trips that are aligned with responsible fishing methods. For those seeking an educational, engaging experience on the water, Captain Travis delivers exactly that with professionalism and care.
